A team of students from Department of Media Sciences, Anna University conducted a cyber crime awareness programme for school students recently, named "Cipher (0) The Cyber Crime." The beneficiary students belonged to classes 9 to 12 and the event was held at Cambridge Matriculation Higher Secondary School, West Saidapet, Chennai. The point of focus of the event was how youngsters should safely use the internet. Some of the latest crimes were highlighted using New Media. Dr. Vijayalakshmi, Asst. Prof. of Criminal Law Dept., Dr. Ambedkar University was the Chief Guest of the programme.
The team of students conducted the event as part of their college project.
